OK Serge, this is my first attempt at posting photos, so to all those out there in internet land, if they are to large, upside down, etc.......HELP!

This is myself and one of my grand daughters, who is one great singer. She and I just performed for about 150 folks. She sings gospel music while I play.

Here is a shot of my Dread after Zpoxy on the B&S process, unsanded. I am going to start the finish today. Beeswing Budinga Back and Sides, Ivoiroid binding




Here it is from the front, Bearclaw Sitka top, Herringbone purfling, Herringbone and BWB Rosette with Ivoroid binding



Here is my classical on the board, you could see the B&S set up in an earlier photo


And finally the neck, mahog with IRW fingerboard, headplate and ultimately the bridge.

I don't have a clue why those photos went side to side..............maybe someone can fix them

This is my first time to use the camera and upload, sorry for the poor lighting in some, total newbie when it comes to digital camera.

If you upload each photo one by one and hit enter after each one is uploade they will not go side to side. If you try to upload them all at once I have noticed this is what happens.

Mike, the photos are side by side because you didn't hit "enter" after each one.


A great bunch of photos, Mike. Nice to see your face and that beautiful granddaughter. I'll bet that performance was a lot of fun. Your guitar, in progress, looks great, too. And now that you've figured out how to post, we expect to see a lot more from you.

Ron, she is one of 4 grandchildren and a real star singer. We have a little group of myself, Haley (in photo) Wyatt my oldest grandson at 6 and Audrey 3 and their Papa (me) playing. We have played at church's and schools around the area and they are really something.

Hey hey Mike, way to go buddy, i'm really happy to finally see your face and we are spoiled to see your grandkids as well! Great lookin' shop you have there and those 2 guitars will be delightful to hear if they sound as great as they look, even if the classical is at it's starting point, i can see that your work is neat!

Now you have no more excuse, like Ron said, we've been treated royally and expect some more pics in the future!

Awesome! Nice girls and guitar pictures! (The ONLY kinda girls/guitars pix we should see on the ol' OLF)    My girls are 17 and almost 19 and sing like angels...(pop star angels, I guess)...but I can't get 'em to sing for crowds that easily...some church praise team singing but that's all...I've given up on them supporting their mom and dad in old age with gold record royalties....

Thanks, Mike. What beautiful kids. I have a granddaughter that is 3 1/2 and one that's 1 1/2. They love to sing and dance when I play, too. Haven't tried it on stage, though. They especially like to dance to my b**jo music!

Anyone with grand kids that love their grandpa knows what happiness and love is all about.

Steve, I live about 1.5 hours from you. I will be in Nacogdoches this month speaking at the Master Gardeners Monthly Meeting. White Oak is a little oil field town just west of Longview, can't tell where one ends and the other begins. Hey, cool shop! Almost reminds me of the earliest Norwegian stave churces, they were not much bigger. Here is one from my area Holtalen stavkirke from 1170, that is right, over 800 years old and still going strong!

Thanks again guys, the pitch is pretty extreme. It allows me to use the rafters above for Zoot storage. The building was here when my wife and I moved from Dallas and purchased the house and acreage about 10 years ago. One thing I liked about the property was the out-buildings. This one, another slant roof shop about the same size (which is part of my expansion) and a large Greenhouse, all in the yard part of the house.

Collin, someone else recommended that, where is the Edit button or better stated how do I go back to my Post? Walk me through that process if you don't mind. I know better for future photo posts, but I just can't seem to find what I need and where it might be hiding.

Mike, at the bottom of each of YOUR posts, you have a series of grey buttons, the edit one should be the 5th starting from the left. Once you click on it, it will alow you to go in between your pics and press enter to space them from one another. Let me know if you need more help fron there!

I come every year and speak about Water Gardens to the group. I do know Dr. Creech, he is assisting the Master Gardners here in Gregg County on their Arboritum project at the Convention Center that I will be designing the water feature. Likewise, I worked with and designed the watergarden at the SFA Arboretum as well.

I will be there this Thursday the 13th at 12:00 noon at the Liberty Hall building downtown where they now meet.
While I am there and if you have time either stop by or I would love to come by and see your shop. You can PM me you cell tele and I will give you a call.
